40 Day Fast

I want to go ahead and get this out of the way. I think right now in the body of Christ prayer and fasting are the "trendy" thing to do oddly enough. I think Satan uses this to steal the effectiveness of our prayer. I could go down a long road there but I say that just to say I'm writing this blog for the people who pray for me so they better know how too not for the glory of people even though no one is probably going to read this.

God has been burning it on my heart to do a 40 day fast only drinking water. He's had it on my heart for the past 2 years but I feel that right now is the season I can complete it. I'm living in a great community of believers who will encourage me and help me through as I press deeper into the things of God. I have so much expectancy for what God is going to do in my heart and what he wants to do in the lives of those around me. Even now just typing about it my heart BURNS with expectancy to see God and encounter Him like I never have before. I will be posting regularly to keep you posted on what God is doing in my heart. If your reading this and God lays it on your heart please be praying for me. Thank you all so much for your prayers.
